Al Farshah Integrated Destination Resort: Leading development of concept, strategy, business case, creating unique IP and programming including ideation, feasibility studies, CAPEX, OPEX and project planning, connectivity, mobility, logistics masterplanning,  (1,5 mil. sqm GFA, 3500 hotel keys, 450k sqm GFA entertainment and 200k sqm MICE space, retail, public realm) organizational development and operational readiness

 

@Yanqing PPE (One of 3 clusters for Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics), China (2018 - 2022)

Leading concept development, feasibility, programme, business case, masterplanning and coordinate with stake holder and consortium partners  (infrastructure and property plus developing the destination management company), CAPEX 6+ bil USD. Development programme: 6 Hotels (1100 rooms) (à transferred to WANDA and two local real estate companies), 2 Serviced apartment units (80 keys), 170 Residential units (lease and let back), Public Realm from Express Train station to “plaza” (including 80 retail units and 12 restaurants), Health and fitness facilities, Meeting and conference center, Golf Court & Country Club, mountainbike tracks (next to Chinese Wall), , mountain activities, hiking tracks and outlooks, winter: skiing and luge infrastructure etc.

  • 2011 – Development and implementation of an innovative and unique show case, entertainment and retail concept for life style related upscale consumer brands in a massive real estate development in a popular second tier city in China (incl. acquisition of brands),
  • 2011/2012 - Property development of international 5-Star Hotel in Guangzhou/China on behalf of international hotel management company (looking for adequate location and acquiring investment and hotel operator to sign management contract) on behalf of Chinese joint venture company.
  • 2011 - Tourism development strategy for a province in North America, contracted by State Government, with particular attention to integration of indigenous issues considering “first nations” heritage and job market development.
  • 2011 – Interim Pre-Opening Marketing Executive for Entertainment, Shopping and Hospitality complex in South East Asian capital (Thailand), Pre-Opening Campaign Management, Bangkok
  • 2012 – Tourism Destination Development for Emirat in the Gulf Area (UAE). Coordination and initial implementation of tourism development masterplan (feasibility, infrastructure, organisational structure, strategy, educational requirements, product- and service portfolio, market segmentation, customer experience) in an area in Gulf Region including restructuring the relevant TA and Destination Marketing Body.
  • 2013/2014 - Tourism Destination Development - National Restructuring Project Myanmar. As a member of Board of Expert Advisors to the Minister, development of policies, masterplanning, strategy options, market segmentation, conceptional drafts of educational infrastructure (hospitality and tourism management school), organisational infrastructur framework (national and regional development and marketing authorities, accountablities, funding, Interfaces).
  • 2013/2014 - Interim post-merger conflict solving and streamlining Managing Director Upscale Tourism Service Operations (Luxury River Cruise Vessels and excursions) in South East Asia, overseeing critical post-merger phase, new investment and launch of new product, new market entry development (Vietnam, Myanmar).
  • 2014/2015 – Market entry facilitation for German machinery producer and upscale interior accessories in SEA (Indonesia, Myanmar, Hongkong, Singapore, Vietnam), setting up wholesaler distribution and after sales services
  • 2013 - 2015 - Turnaround and restructuring private hotel group in Germany on behalf of new investors from Russia, facilitation of exit strategy. 
  • 2015 - 2018 - Post Merger Integration and strategic repositioning of a Swiss national icon mountain and ski resort operation company, new source markets, new product, new visitor experience and 360° digitalization initiative (e-commerce, pricing, AR/VR, CRM etc.)
  • 2017/2018 – Coordinator and Advisor for masterplanning and development of a „smart city“ mountain resort (Jebel Jais Development), joint-venture with development company.
  • 2016 – 2022 - Started out in a Lead Consultancy role and emerged in a full time Execution mandate in „resort development“ for the Chinese mountain resort and ski areas Wanlong (Hebei Province) and Yanqjing (Beijing Province, sites of the alpine skiing competitions Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022), for Post-Olympic Strategy to develop all-year-resort infrastructure and offerings. Real Estate, organizational and business development from greenfield to viable visitor experience, commissioning and asset management.
  • 2017/2018/2019 – Internationalization of established X Sport event (Europe to China, SEA and Middle East)
